Escape from the city to discover a range of fungi in the beautiful surroundings of Beecraigs Country Park. Ambling through trees and along the water we will explore a variety of mushrooms, wild plants and fruits through various habitats. Throughout the morning gather the basic skills required to identify common edibles as well as how to avoid poisonous & inedible lookalikes. Discover which mushroom families are an ideal starting point for beginners and where to find them, as well as what plants and fruits are in season in early Autumn. The walk should last ~2.5 hours with the opportunity to stay a little later to ask chat and ask questions. Suitable for all ages with children welcome - individual or family tickets. Car parking available. Meeting outside the visitor centre which serves tea, coffee and various breakfast options to suit all dietary needs. Excellent facilities on site. For single child tickets (£5) please contact me directly. Want to avoid the booking fee? Pop me a message!
