Moving towards the end of July we see more and more edible fungi coming into their own. Join me to discover the possibilities of broad-leaf and coniferous woodland before combing through a beach hedgerow, uncovering all that the season has to offer. Throughout the morning gather the basic skills required to identify common edibles as well as how to avoid poisonous & inedible lookalikes. Discuss how sustainability is an essential part of foraging for plants, nuts, fungi and fruits. Look at how wild food can become a complimentary part of a meal while being sympathetic to the environment around you, and why this is such a key part of the forager's philosophy. To finish the day we will picnic, tasting a variety of foraged dishes - and a treat or two for the over 18s! The walk should last ~2.5 hours with the opportunity to stay a little later to enjoy some of the foods we have collected. Exact location of the walk will be confirmed via email before the event. Suitable for all ages with children welcome - individual or family tickets. Accessible via public transport and car parking near by. For individual child tickets please contact me directly
